Wicklow Ukulele Players

The thing I love the most about the project is how it brings people together. Whether you're an absolute beginner or a more confident player we have something for everyone.

Each week we meet up with a simple plan; learn something new and have fun learning it. If that's a new chords, a new technique or simply a new song, then that's awesome!

We set up this group in March 2019 to continue with our goal of creating safe, relaxed learning environments suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds. Each week we gather to learn something new and have fun doing it.

Locally we became known as the "Award Winning" Wicklow Ukulele Players because of how after only running for a 3 months.

Our membership is made up of people of all ages, backgrounds and levels from complete beginners to veteran players from other groups.  The songs we play go from basic to epic as we accommodate the eclectic mix of music tastes which means you could start the night playing Glen Campbell, then sudden switch to The Cure, then David Bowie, then Journey etc.

The group has one simple goal:
To have fun learning and playing the ukulele.

How to get involved:

We love meeting new people and being a part of their ukulele journey. Given Covid-19 we are conducting our meetings digitally through classes on Zoom and Jams on YouTube.
