In 2015, Ronan McCauley established the Arklow Ukulele Players, which originally consisted of 13 members, and has grown substantially to now consist of 45 regular weekly members. As musical director, Ronan and the Arklow Ukulele Players have seen great success with fundraising gigs for charities both locally and nationally, and they have also played the main stage at the Ukulele Hooley Festival 2018 in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Europe’s largest ukulele festival.

In 2019, Ronan established a second group in Wicklow Town called Wicklow Ukulele Players. Having appeared on East Coast FM the group has had a fantastic start. Keep an eye on their facebook page and keep up-to-date on everything.

Throughout his career, Ronan has also aided in the creation of music lesson groups at the local youth centre, and also teaches there on a weekly basis. Alongside private tuition in many of the instruments listed above Ronan is a tutor for Music Generation Wicklow, in which he teaches the ukulele in several primary schools throughout County Wicklow.
